Where It All Began: Lewis Fear’s Karting Journey
Every racing driver has a story, and for Lewis Fear, it all started with an unforgettable 8th birthday party.
What was meant to be a fun day out with friends at a local kart circuit turned into something much more. From the moment Lewis climbed into a kart, he discovered a passion for racing that neither he nor his family expected. The excitement of driving, the challenge of improving every lap, and the thrill of competition sparked a dream that continues to grow today.
After that first experience, Lewis couldn’t wait to get back behind the wheel. What began as occasional karting sessions quickly developed into regular practice, coaching, and competitive racing. With every lap, he gained confidence, learned new skills, and discovered just how much he loved the sport.
Today, Lewis proudly competes in several competitive karting championships, including the Midland Karting Championship and the Daniel Ricciardo Series (DRS). Racing against talented young drivers from across the UK is continuing to help him develop his racecraft, consistency, confidence, and determination, while also teaching valuable lessons in resilience, teamwork, and sportsmanship.
Every race weekend brings new challenges and new opportunities to learn. Whether celebrating a podium finish or analysing a race that didn’t go to plan, Lewis approaches every event with a positive attitude, a strong work ethic, and a determination to keep improving.
